Daniel was born and raised in Sydney, New South Wales before moving to Canberra to pursue a career as an Australian Army Officer. He joined the JY Australia team in January 2021 as a Project Manager before assuming the role of Operations Manager and promoting into the Head of People and Culture in January 2024.

Daniel’s career experience begun as a Property Manager in Southern Sydney before learning the trade skills of an apprentice plumber. Realising his true calling with the Australian Army, Daniel was accepted into the Royal Military College – Duntroon in January 2013. Daniel’s Army career spans almost 10 years as a Logistics Officer.

Daniel’s military career has seen him serve on Domestic Operations in support of the ADF’s response to COVID-19 as well as conduct key logistics planning for the Commonwealth Games in 2018 and Special Forces activities in 2017. Daniel has also served on International Operations in Fiji conducting Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief in 2016, as well as serving in Afghanistan in 2019, where he conducted Train, Advise, Assist missions in support of the Afghanistan Air Force. Daniel’s military career highlight was being recognised in the Australia Day Honours List 2021 where he received a Commendation for Distinguished Service for distinguished performance in warlike operations in Afghanistan during 2019.

Daniel is a proud veteran who takes pride in his service and seeks to make a valuable contribution to Defence Industry. His demonstrated competence, dedication, and strong interpersonal skills enable him to uphold the rich values and history of JY Australia. As the COO, Daniel provides a critical role within JY Australia, where he orchestrates company operations across Australia, successfully leads and coordinates a team of over 50 employees and ensures JY Australia maintains its position as market leading by delivering optimal results for partners and clients.

Daniel is passionate and committed to ensuring that employees of JY Australia receive adequate support throughout their employment and works diligently to foster a positive and cohesive team environment, which positions JY Australia as an employer of choice across industry.

Daniel’s experience is complemented by a Masters of Business through UNSW and he has his sights on completing the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course in April 2024.

Daniel currently resides in Sydney with his wife Brittanni and their two sons Kai and Jed. Daniel is a keen golfer and an avid fan of the Cronulla Sharks and Sydney Swans.

Craig is an accomplished leader who has demonstrated versatility across his 14 year’s working with the Commonwealth. He has been able to work on and deliver high profile projects across multiple Government departments. His ability to lead multi-disciplined teams to achieve strategically important outcomes is a testament to his ability to navigate and mitigate issues.

Throughout Craig’s career he has developed his skill set as a Project Manager and Director on some of the bigger programs including spending 2022 as a Director for Acquisition under the Navy Guided Weapon Program in the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). Under the Navy Guided Weapons Program Craig has successfully managed the acquisition of numerous high-profile capabilities including Maritime Strike Tomahawk, Naval Strike Missile, Standard Missile and Evolved SeaSparrow Missile (ESSM). Craig has an in-depth knowledge of different stages of the One Defence Capability Life Cycle and the Smart Buyer Process as well as a diverse understanding of different procurement methods from Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and even consortium arrangements.

Craig joined JY Australia in 2023 and quickly established himself as a pivotal member of the leadership team at the same time as managing another critical project for the Airlift and Tanker Sytems Branch in CASG.

From 2024 Craig has taken on the role of Head of Professional Services Division within JY Australia. His focus is strengthening the relationship with JY Australia’s strategic partners and ensuring the continuity of support to Defence in achieving enhanced capability to the war fighter.

Abbey joined JY Australia in August 2021, working as the Operations Officer – Professional Services in the Sydney office. Abbey is responsible for ensuring that the Executive Team maintains a high level of engagement with JY Australia’s consultants and stakeholders by facilitating travel, phone calls, meetings and organisation of general business operations. In addition to her role in the operations team, Abbey assists with the facilitation and workshop delivery of JY Australia’s Indigenous Development Employment Program.

Prior to her role within JY Australia, Abbey worked for Qantas as a Business and First-Class International Cabin Crew Member where she developed a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of service delivery and emergency procedures. During her time at Qantas, Abbey was seconded to work from Qantas’ UK base in Heathrow Airport where she assisted the HR team with recruiting new cabin crew members.

Unfortunately, Abbey’s employment with Qantas was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in her returning home to Australia. Since returning to Sydney, Abbey utilised her customer service skills to obtain a managerial position in the hospitality industry where she was responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a busy café.

Joining JY Australia represented a pivotal career shift for Abbey. To support her career transition and pursue her future goals, Abbey has committed to ongoing education, enrolling in a Diploma of Human Resources which is supported through JY Australia’s Professional Development Allowance Policy. She is also actively engaged in her local Toastmasters International Club, operating on the Executive team where she is enhancing her public speaking and leadership abilities.

In her spare time, Abbey enjoys catching up with family and friends and doing outdoor activities like bushwalking and surfing with her partner Mitch.

Jess entered JY Australia as an Administrative Support Officer, located in Canberra. In this pivotal role, Jess efficiently manages a spectrum of administrative responsibilities while providing support to Abbey in optimising overall business operations. With a passion to create and a strong background in reception and administration, Jess has built a robust foundation of customer service and coordination abilities.

Jess embarked on her journey in the beauty industry following the completion of her Diploma in Makeup and Beauty. Soon after graduating, Jess secured a part-time role at Priceline Pharmacy as a Beauty Assistant, while also establishing herself as a freelance makeup artist. She was given to opportunity to work on film sets, for bridal parties, and for school formals, showcasing her artistic talent beyond the pharmacies business hours.

After honing her beauty and relationship-building skills, Jess transitioned into a spa environment, beginning as a receptionist at Endota Spa. There, she offered expert skincare advice and worked in treatment rooms, building her own loyal client base within the company. Thanks to her adaptability and deep industry knowledge, Jess quickly took on the role of Assistant Manager.
Under her leadership, Jess nurtured a team of unique individuals, fostering a culture of positivity and engagement. Her dedication and strategic thinking consistently surpassed expectations, driving significant business growth and positioning the Woden Spa as a top performer amongst the three spas in Canberra.

Her love for administration bloomed from that point forward. Jess wishes to continue to grow her interpersonal and organisational skills with JY Australia, while contributing to the successes of the company.
Outside the office space, Jess enjoys drawing, going to the gym, and attending concerts/festivals with friends and family where she can.
