The Challenge


Following a period of organisational drift and operational misalignment, a key division within a state education department engaged JY Australia to help re-establish direction, rebuild trust, and create alignment—both within the leadership team and across the broader team. There was a strong appetite to reconnect with purpose, embed cultural safety, and strengthen leadership cohesion to drive collective performance.

Phase One: Leadership Foundations (August 2024)


  • One-on-one interviews to identify team dynamics, strengths, and barriers

  • Facilitated workshops on self-awareness, Cliftons strengths, and high-performing teams

  • Planning sessions focused on high-priority themes and team cohesion

  • Support to co-design and deliver a consistent leadership message to the full team

Phase Two: Health Check & Strategy Alignment (April 2025)


  • Team-wide health check survey and workshop reflection

  • Strategic review and audit of the V1 action plan

  • Co-design and validation of a revised V2 plan with clear ownership

  • Coaching and communication support to roll out the new direction across the team
